Removing Fat From All The Right Places: What Works And What Doesn't

by admin

From video tutorials to fitness blogs, people make claims that spot training can effectively reduce fat in target areas. The question is, are these claims true? This guide will explain what does and doesn't work to remove fat from targeted areas of your body.

Exercising & Muscle Tone

Many fitness advisers make claims that performing exercises that target the muscles in the area you want to lose fat in will help to spot-treat fat in that area. Unfortunately, this isn't actually true. However, that doesn't mean that those exercises aren't without benefit.

Toning exercises that work the region you're concerned about (for example, your glutes) can help to tone and tighten the muscle lying underneath the fat, which can make the region appear lifted, smaller, and more firm. In addition, building muscle is a great way to lose fat more quickly than cardio alone. Muscle improves your overall metabolism, which may help to burn fat more quickly over your entire body. In the end, the areas you're worried about will look better and you'll be fitter overall, which may create the illusion that you've successfully spot-treated the areas you're concerned about.

Waist Training

Another popular misconception is that corsets can help to destroy fat in your waist while leaving your bust and butt alone. Unfortunately, this is also untrue, but it can still help to make your waist smaller.

Reducing the size of your waist with a corset requires a dedicated commitment to waist training, with many avid waist trainers keeping their corsets on nearly twenty-four hours a day. Over time, the pressure of the corset will cause your lowest ribs, also known as the floating ribs, to slowly move inwards, similarly to how braces realign teeth. This is a slow process, but the end result is that your waist will appear smaller due to the lowest ribs no longer protruding as far as they once did.

Corsets also make it more difficult to eat large portions of food, so they may help you to lose weight overall. Just like spot training, however, they don't make you lose fat exclusively from your waist.

Liposuction

The one method that does work to get rid of specific targeted areas of fat is liposuction. Liposuction is fairly non-invasive in comparison to other procedures, as it requires only a small incision to insert the liposuction cannula. Once inserted, the surgeon will break down and remove fat cells in the areas you're concerned about, leaving the targeted area of your body with a slimmer, more attractive appearance. This can be beneficial for people who are interested in smoothing or sculpting specific areas while maintaining their curves elsewhere.

All of the methods in this guide can help you to have a sleeker, more sculpted physique, but only liposuction can destroy fat cells in specific areas of your body. Spot training can help the areas of your body that you're self-conscious about to look better, but only liposuction will actually remove the fat. About Me

Health Issues Common In Women

My name is Shawna Banks and this is a blog that focuses on health issues that affect women. I became interested in women's health when my sister began having medical problems. After her condition worsened, she went to see a doctor. After her diagnosis and successful treatment, I helped her research the different kinds of health conditions that are common in women. By becoming knowledgeable about these types of problems, we can keep ourselves healthier. I hope that when you read this blog, it will help you to identify symptoms that shouldn't be ignored. If necessary, you can schedule an appointment with your physician as soon as possible.
